One Layer Deeper: New Podcast Episode Is LIVE!

Pamela Anderson's No Makeup Stance & What It Means For Us

It’s Paris Fashion Week and it wasn’t clothing that made global headlines - it was Pamela Anderson sitting front row without makeup. The people went wild for it & the response from other celebs was that she was “courageous, bold, going against the status quo, self-assured, & iconic.”

Now, for those of us who aren’t at Pamela Anderson’s level of new found freedom, I’m going One Layer Deeper into what this means for the collective (us), overall beauty culture, & why belonging is more important than fitting in. Listen Now!

This episode was sparked by one of my own personal experiences as MissA & some of the pictures below. As I look at Pamela Anderson sitting next to a “more relevant” celeb in the front row - the latter with her youth and full glam glowing - I can’t help but wonder if Pamela feels a sense of discomfort or sting. Not for authenticity reasons, but for reasons of “fitting in”. It’s easy when people commend and support you for your decision to show up as you are, but why aren’t they joining you? Because it is much easier to fit in, and go with the status quo, than to go against it. And when we see someone going against it, the inner part of us that tries to "fit in" is hungry to break free and find true belonging.

Anyway, just some of my recent thoughts - hope you’ll add to the conversation & please share if you think someone would enjoy this deep dive! 💛🤗
